Due to  Coronavirus/Covid-19 concerns, we are suspending future meetings until further notice.  However, we will be directing you to virtual events that support our mission and commitment to the area.

The Public Policy Network (PPN) is a civic organization that monitors state and national policy proposals that affect individuals and our communities. We are an all-volunteer group that provides data, information and resources to enable the citizens of western North Carolina and north Georgia to make informed decisions about policies that affect them.

We welcome participation in our informational forums, special events and monthly PPN meetings.

WHAT CAN I DO?

There are numerous ways that citizens can become informed and involved in decisions made by their government.

-Presented by-

Stephanie Johnson- Clay County Health Dept.

Stephanie Johnson, MPH, MBA, and Director of the Clay County Health Dept., will explain what public health has to offer in the midst of the current Covid 19 crisis.  She will explain how local health departments help residents to avoid becoming infected in the first place; how they conduct COVID-19 tests and perform contact tracing in an effort to prevent (or slow) COVID-19 transmission from infected people to their loved ones, neighbors and co-workers.  She will also address some controversial issues such as wearing face masks and sheltering in place.
